Before and After ~ For a Great Cause!

I don't normally post much about my kidlets on here, but my girl has done something that's made her mama's heart swell with pride and I must share with you :)

My daughter Jocelyn, who's 11, has decided to participate in the St. Valentine's Day Hair Massacure to raise funds for cancer research and the Stollery, our children's hospital that she stayed in last year.  In this event you can donate your hair, dye it pink or shave your head to raise awareness.  So what is she doing?

Before:

And after:

And not only did she cut her hair off to donate and color it pink, she's decided to shave her head as well on Feb 11!!!  Way to go my girl, we are so proud of you!

If anyone would like to help Jocelyn achieve her goal, please go here to donate. Thank you so much :)

Wow, your daughter is great, I have a shaven head, but that is due to grow back after hair loss due cancer, so I think she is wonderful and you are right to be so proud of her.
Jocelyn you are a star.

That's wonderful and its a testimony to how you raised her if she is willing to do things like that to raise money for cancer!

Wow! She looks beautiful either way. That was quite a generous move to make and I bet her heart was in her stomach when they made the first cut!
I would have dyed my hair pink I think. ;-)

Fabulous! I cut my hair off in December but I haven't mailed it off yet! Don't think I could dye it pink or shave my head though!

Love your stitching update.

What a wonderful gift your daughter has given. My niece cut her hair and donated it as well. Your daughter looks more mature with that cute short cut.
